No, GW does not need a spell check.
It just needs less stupid people.

No. Anything like that would be bad. Pre-selected messages, pre-selected allowable words, word suggestions, auto-checker, etc.
I do understand where you're coming from on being annoyed by people that don't type English, but at the same time, systems like those can also hurt people that type English.

Turn off local chat.
Stop PUGing.
Leave the bad guild/alliance. (Solo guild perhaps?)
Problem decisively solved.

Dark Age of Camelot had a custom filter that allowed you to change colloquialisms to fit your literary needs and upkeep your mental well-being. It was an amazing system at the time--lol became 'very funny', brb turned into 'one moment' and rofl morphed into 'well spoken!' Ah, for the days of role-playing on Percival...
But, as others have suggested, you could turn off local and nearly achieve the same effect.

Spell Check? Is it that hard to spell? If you make a mistake, cant you just hit the rectangular button titled "Backspace"?
If someone else is spelling words wrong, WHO CARES. Does it make that much of a difference how he spelled it? Does it really affect you? If a word is mispelled, who cares, you still know and understand what a person is trying to say.

No one that needs to use it is going to use it. If it's automatic, even more dumb. I don't want it asking me to change it every time I type "lod" or "ursan."

have u tried microsoft word? do u know how much of a pain in the a$$ that spellchecker is? it doesn't even reckognize (<<spellcheck plz ) my own name lol.
if they did add a spellchecker, where would it stop? character names being spell checked too? so the fact u cant have jewel cos it has jew in it isn't enough, now all my character names will become useless as duckboy isn't really a word ? lol

Better yet, send the kid's back to school so they can learn how to spell.
